FAQ
Q1: What is a 10:1 acrylic adhesive?
A two-component structural bonding adhesive that mixes resin (Part A) and hardener (Part B) at a 10:1 ratio (By Volume). It cures at room temperature to form a strong, durable joint.
Q2: What materials can it bond?
It is designed for a wide range of stone and surface materials, including:
- Solid surface (acrylic / polyester type)
- Quartz stone & engineered stone
- Sintered stone / porcelain slab
- Natural stone (granite, marble, etc.)
- Metal, composite, and ceramic surfaces
Q3: How long does it take to cure?
The curing time is effected a lot by temperature, normally at 25 ℃, it takes around 20-30 mins to get cured.
Q4: Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The cured adhesive has excellent weather, UV, and temperature resistance, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Q5: How is it applied?
Use a dual-cartridge 10:1 dispenser with a static mixing nozzle.
Purge the first few centimeters before use.
Apply evenly on clean, dry surfaces.
Clamp until handling strength is reached.
Q6: Are color options available?
Yes. Available in multiple color shades to match solid surface or stone colors. Custom color matching can be provided upon request.
Q7: How should it be stored?
Store in a cool, dry place below 25 ℃, away from direct sunlight.
Shelf life: 12 months (unopened).
Q8: How does it compare marble glue or epoxy adhesives?
- MMA Adhesive
MMA adhesive is a two-component reactive glue that cures quickly at room temperature. It offers excellent bonding strength, durability, and weather resistance. It is especially suitable for bonding solid surface, quartz, and sintered stone where high structural performance and fast assembly are required. It can also be polished and color-matched to the stone.
- Marble Glue (Polyester Adhesive)
Marble glue, usually based on unsaturated polyester resin, is mainly used for repairing and simple bonding of natural stone. It cures fast but has limited strength and yellowing resistance. It’s more suitable for surface filling or decorative joints rather than structural bonding.
- Epoxy Adhesive
Epoxy adhesive provides very strong bonding and excellent chemical resistance. However, it cures slowly, especially at low temperature, and can become brittle or yellow over time. It’s often used where extremely high strength or long working time is needed, but not ideal for fast production or color-sensitive stone.
Q9: What safety precautions are needed?
Use in a well-ventilated area, and wear gloves, mask, and goggles.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for details.
